It wasn’t until Adam and Sue began working for me that I realized how much a difference a really intelligent, hard working, proactive gardening team could make. Adam and Sue really listen when I have needs or express myself directly about something.

So, if it isn’t clear so far, I’m extremely happy with Adam and Sue. I had a broken sprinkler valve somewhere on the property but even after hiring an installation expert I couldn’t find the valve so was having to hand water a section of plants. I was beginning to feel desperate as the next step of ripping up lines was extremely unappealing. Relentless Adam found the valve under a bunch of mulch, put the whole system in order, re-timed all the valves to more efficiently and appropriately water the differing areas, put the whole system to sleep at the end of the season (blowing out the lines) as well as bringing it back on line in the Spring with appropriate repairs where needed.

I now have confidence that everything will be managed well and appreciate their helping to add plantings where needed.

Sue and Adam created and implemented a design for my postage stamp backyard here in Seattle on Queen Anne Hill. It turned out to be low-maintenance, mostly native plants, dog-accommodating and people-friendly. I had a preliminary plan and they improved upon it. The end result was warm, inviting and natural. Adam and crew built river rock pathways and short walls for planting beds and sitting areas, reworked my irrigation system to make it all easy to maintain and planted a rooftop mini-garden on the shed.  Sue’s plant choices were specific to my mostly shady yard and were practical, low-maintenance and lovely. Both Sue and Adam are very responsive, honest and friendly folks. My dog, Jasper, was always happy to see them, too. If I ever need more help with my yard, I would definitely ask Groundworks first!
